Default Frugal changes affecting my kids :)

I hate to admit that we used to go out to fast food about 2 or 3 times a week. McDonald's and Burger King were regular stops for us
However, we havent been to fast food in several weeks/months.
Today, when I picked my daughter up from school I had stopped at McDonalds as a treat. Well, you would not believe how much she thanked me! LOL She was so excited! "McDonalds! Thanks mom for getting it for me!" She really reacted like it was a huge deal
Before she would have just thought it was a normal part of the week. Its cool how grateful she was. She doesn't take it for granted and it seems more special. I think its cool

    Thumbs up

Just goes to show that kids appreciate things more when they are not getting it all the time. Good job.

Thanks everyone! I am really trying harder to be alert to how I live. Right now its due to necessity. Hopefully it will all be a permanant life change anyway.

    Good job..........I agree.

Even I enjoy the food more the few times I have stopped at fast food. Before it was just 'something to fill the belly'..........now it is a treat!

Oh, I LOVE this. You're raising a sensible young lady and not an entitled princess.

    Kudos to you, Mom.
