    Default Twilight Zone

BF is starting to scare me. This weekend, Saturday to be exact....I was feeling really lazy right around 5 o'clock. We had ground beef in the refrigerator just begging to be made into hamburger patties, and potatoes in the fridge that were a quick wash and a few knife swipes away from being oven fries. I was beginning to cave into my laziness, and told BF, "I REALLY don't feel like going down to the grill to cook." So what does he do? He gets up and goes into the kitchen...and starts washing potatoes! <<< This is STRANGE. Ever since he's been the only one working, I do the cooking 99% of the time and even when we were both working, it was a PITA trying to get him to help me cook. So, in a strange turn of events, HE ended up motivating ME and kept us away from a fast food joint on Saturday night. << Also very strange, since he loves his greasy fast food.

THEN....oh you thought I was finished? Nope. Then on Sunday, he disappeared for about 10 minutes and when he emerged, he had what could pass for a very badly done Mohawk. He has been needing to get in to get a haircut for about a month now, and when I mentioned doing it on Saturday morning, he didn't feel very good and we didn't go. Well his dad had given him a very cheap set of clippers a few years back, that we've never used. The reason for BF's sudden Mohawk, was that the set of clippers overheated mid-use and started to vibrate (in a BAD way, for all you dirty people out there ). LOL. He looked RIDICULOUS and was almost begging me to go into Walgreens and buy a new set. Instead, he took the thing apart, tried to fix a part of it that wasn't fixable, then let it cool down and put pressure on a certain part of it to keep it from vibrating while he finished mutilating...I mean, cutting his hair. And it turned out really good! So he saved us $15 this time, but once I get a better set of clippers...and learn how to cut his hair the way he really likes it (this wasn't the way he wanted it, but it's even and looks fine) he started the ball rolling towards saving us about $2,700 over the next 30 years...providing he still needs a haircut at that point

I am totally shocked, impressed, and proud of him

Just go with it and I do think a reward for good behavior is in order. Win-Win

We have a set of clippers. We saved a fortune (and I am sure the barbers nerves) by cutting the boys' hair at home. We could do half and then do the other half later on so they didn't have to sit for so long.

Been there, done that. I know better than to ignore it when he does things I like. I'd rather ignore him when he does things I DON'T like lol.
