    Look what is happening in my town right this moment! This is a small town, and people are scared. I'm on the other side of town, thank goodness. Now I know what all the sirens were about!

    Thank heavens it is finally over. It's been almost 4 hours. A police officer was shot in the chest, but his vest saved him.

    They evacuated the neighborhood and called for a SWAT team. Wow.

    This could have turned out very badly, so I'm relieved. We will all sleep better tonight.
