I've had the windows open for a couple of weeks now. Love it!! It's supposed to get up to 90 today, so I don't know if the AC will be on this afternoon. Not planning anything cooked in the house for dinner, and won't be home all afternoon, so maybe we'll make it OK without the AC.

The windows aren't open here today, but the heat is still off. I think it's about 50 outside, the sun is shining. We do have an electric space heater in our 7 month old's room to take the chill out, but the house itself is about 65 and that's fine for us!

No heat yet. Actually couldn't if we wanted to. New furnace is being put in next week. With this summer's flooding our furnace which wasn't that old was trashed so I am thankful that it is cool but not cold here. Our house is really well insulated so we hopefully won't have to turn on the new furnace until Nov. sometime.

I am in Houston, Texas and the weather has been unbelievably cool and dry. I have had the doors and windows open and the A/C off for about two weeks now. It's been in the 50's or 60's at night with highs in 80's. But more importantly the humidity has been low, low, low.

It's been wonderful motorcycle riding weather. Hubby and I rode to the local Home Depot last night to look at old cars. Home Depot lets car enthusiasts use their parking lot every Friday night. I only had on a t-shirt and I got a little chilly riding home around 9 pm.

I also can't wait to see how low my next electric bill will be! I am keeping my fingers crossed that it is under $100. It has been close to $200 for the last four months.

I am lucky and rarely have to turn on the heat. One of the wonderful things I discovered when I downsized from a house to an apartment is that the other units insulate mine and only gets cold when it is really cold outside.

I am looking forward to winter and spending evenings curled up under a blanket with my knitting and a cup of hot cocoa or tea.

We are bad---Turn on the AC by afternoon, off once the house is cooled, heat on first thing in the morning. We have allergies so no open windows here, but I'm sure it still is not the best energy-wise. Oh, well. We keep our house very cool in the summer and warm in the winter too. We live in our house and keep it comfy for us.

I keep the windows open all day and leave the ceiling fan on. We cuddle under blankets on the couch when we watch tv and wear our sweats. It's pretty nice and we love it.

I've come very close to using the woodstove. It's gotten quite chilly lately!

I left my bedroom window open until last night. This morning the house was 58 degrees. We just bundled up and it's going to be a beautiful sunny 65 today. I try not to turn heat on till at least November.

I love the cold fall air and throw the windows open, but when I sleep and it gets into the 50s I click on the heat super low. I have very sensitive sinuses and if it's too cold they'll get irritated.

The furnace man did come give the furnace it's check up. He did have to turn it on. Made the house smell like winter.

It has been a rather warm fall here so no heat yet. The house hasn't gotten cold enough for the heater yet.
