Default Went to see "The Mousetrap"

DW and I went to see Agatha Christie's play "The Mousetrap" last night. Great play, good directing, great acting. Only one problem: we didn't get to find out "who done it"!

(No spoilers, please. If you know, please do not post it here. That's what Wikipedia is for. )

You see, as I have mentioned on some posts, we live on an island. There's no such thing as being five minutes late getting home. If you miss the ferry during the day, you are an hour late. If you miss the last ferry at night, you are a day late and a lot of dollars poorer. So you have to leave the theatre at 10:30 whether the play is over or not. If you aren't pulling out of the parking lot at 10:31, you won't be getting home. It's just one of the hazards of living in paradise.

So, after seat-surfing to some vacant aisle seats at the intermission, I spent the second half peeking at my watch every few minutes. Just as the detective called all the suspects into the room for the wrap-up, I tapped DW on the shoulder, we grabbed our coats and were out of there.

Read the book! It's called 'Three Blind Mice'; it has some more enjoyable short stories in it.

When I went to The Mousetrap, I had the cheapest ticket, last row with the angels. Very high up, and a very nice play!
