Full Moon
Ok....just wondered if anyone else experiences oddities and weirdness whenever the full moon rolls around. Its due to show itself tomorrow (Oct 23/10).
So far today, my dad was already awake, dressed and medicated ready to go to the hospital this am. I woke up at 6.30am-7am - how early did he wake up?!
People have also been telling me very personal things when I do not need to know and have no bearing on my life, misreading requests via email and not listening when I ask questions. All of these things and more happened while at the hospital, grocery store, library, gas station, pharmacy etc.
I think this weekend will be a great one for me to hole up inside and avoid all the crazies out there. Its not me, its them!!
What have you guys experienced during the full moon(s) or do you not notice anything?2012: The Year Of The Purge!

I haven't but I know a cop who swears he spends more time in the ER with people who've done stupid (and often illegal) things when there's a full moon.

They say the ER and police are always busier when it's a full moon. We live off a very busy street and the sirens have been crazy. I can lay here at night and hear people drag racing and brakes slamming.
Now when I worked in the hair salon...oh boy! The crazies always got their hair done then. lol I would just say, it must be a full moon, and yep it was every time.

As an elementary school teacher, my co-workers and I KNOW for sure that the full moon affects children. They are harder to settle down, they don't do homework as well, their attention spans are shorter, etc.
My principal says that the parents are harder to deal with, too, when it's full moon.

Yes, I definitely believe the full moon affects peoples behaviors. Tuesday was the strangest/craziest day for me. I posted about one incident (the post office experience) and then had 3 more strange things happen to me (total 4)
1) man at the post office yelled at me (had to file a complaint)
2) on my way to my volunteer shift (driving), I had taken the exit ramp from the expressway and a car full of shady looking guys decided to exit just before the land part of the exit started causing me to swerve so I wouldn't hit them...they then came up to the stop light and stared me down...it wasn't even my fault
3) on my way home from my volunteer shift, I was in a shady neighborhood and was stopped at a stop light with no other cars in sight. A group of guys came up to my car and started washing the windows and then stared at me to give them money (I WAS NOT about to open my window! haha)
4) on the expressway home, I almost died...if I had not been focusing on driving (e.g. looked away to turn the radio station, etc) I would have slammed into the suv in front of me going about 50 mi/hr because there was a chain reaction...somebody slammed on their brakes in front of the SUV...needless to say, I stopped about 2 inches behind the SUV and the uhaul (behind me) had to swerve out of the lane behind me so they wouldn't hit me...I was a little shaken after that incident and once I got home I actually did a google search for full moon theories..I am really glad Tuesday is over!

Yep, the crazies do come out around a full moon I never go out and stay in my locked house and put my rotweiller on guard.
we have enough crazies stopping here daily without adding a full moon to the equation!

I don't know about crazies, but as a former operating room nurse, we did get more c-sections during full moons.

My son while living at home would have more outburst when there was a full moon... I didn't put two and two together until quite some time later...
The kids at school are harder to deal with at times....and when is the full moon cause friday was very hard for one of my kiddos at school and i wonder now if maybe this has something to do with it.....they say there is more gravitational pull or something like that... not sure...

I like it because I don't have to turn lights when I get up in the night & let the dog out. Easier to fall back to sleep.
Love too how the light shimmers on the creek. So pretty. Maybe I'll get a nice pic to share.

I witnessed a guy driving down my street and he rammed into the side of a parked car that was pointed in the same direction that he was driving.
LOL
That one just makes me giggle.
DS7 has also been harder to handle lately, so I'm not sure if that's adolescence or the full moon.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!
