Question What is your soft spot when it comes to spending?

What is your soft spot when it comes to spending? What makes you let loose of your cash ( besides a need of course)?

My soft soft is the children's desires. Especially if they think up what they want and then you agree because you are almost certain that it doesn't exist. Then you find it.

Example I'm thinking about that make me let loose and spend.

When Buddy was little (3 or 4) we loved a wonderful little book from England.
He asked for the video of it and was disappointed when I said I didn't think they made a video of that book. A month or so later he spotted it in the very full brand new $5 video bin at Walmart. Very clearly the same characters. How could I say no?

Little Miss has wanted a full twin sized blanket for her bed just like her security blanket, same material and feel. She currently lays her crib sized blanket over her each night. She spotted at Aldi's one just like she has been dreaming of for a year or so. I'm going to pull out some stashed Chirstmas cash ( marked for a splurge) and go buy it for her. I think I'll give it to her now ( instead of Christmas because she really does need a new blanket. Hope it is still there.

Your turn, what is your soft spot that makes you let loose of your purse strings?

Oh, were to start! I don't really have just one soft spot...I LOVE TO SHOP!!! I am the type of person that has to make myself stay home so I don't spend any money ( I am only a little ashamed to admit that ). In the birght side, I do look for good deals and ONLY buy when stuff is marked down.

Definitely toys for my son (and most likely my daughter when she gets old enough). Nothing makes me happier than seeing how excited he gets when he gets a cool new toy. Unfortunately I've learned I have to be very careful or he'll begin to expect it.

My personal weakness (at the moment) is books...having the Kindle app on my phone has been both a blessing and a curse.

Shrimp, lol. I love shrimp but it's so expensive and I can't resist when I see it for $3.99 lb . That doesn't happen often enough. I actually put it on my birthday list, lmao.

My soft spots are my two daughters. I tell them before we go out we are only buying what we need, that doesn't last very long. If it isn't me giving in it's my husband.

My daughter- She is spoiled as all get out I think. I just love buying new toys, esp if they are educational. I spend way too much though and she doesn't even know what she has because she has so much!
Crafts- I LOVE making hairbows. I love buying ribbons and supplies! I sell a few.
Christmas- I spend alot on this.
All in all I just love to shop as someone has already said. But bills are pd and there is a sizeable EF and pd off mortgage so it ain't too bad.

If you think it's hard to say no to your kids, just wait till you have grandkids! I tend to cater to my grandson way too much, whether it's a video game or making his favorite cookies. But what the heck--that's a grandmothers job isn' it!
