We won!
I didn't know where else to post this... We won a 100 dollar gift card to bestbuy this weekend. We went to TGIFridays to grab a couple beers and munch on their "free appitizers if you're wearing a costume" promotion. The bar was pretty dead at 11:00 and there were only about 5 people in costumes. Our regular bar tender was there and we chatted all night with him. We noticed a sign that said costume contest and we asked if the prizes were given out and he said no. He told us that he didn't think they were even going to do it since it was dead all night and there weren't many people dressed up. Wellllll.... at the end of the night we noticed the manager lurking around the bar. It was about 1:00 and they were doing last call and closing tabs. We saw our bar tender talking to the manager and both of them looking at us. 5 minutes later the manager comes over and introduces himself and tells us that he spoke to the bartender and he told him about us being regulars and good customers and then he said "I want to congratulate you both for being the winners of our costume contest". And he handed us a 100 dollar giftcard to Best Buy! We were shocked! And he gave us a discount on our drinks! My boyfriend says we won by default because there werent many people dressed up but I say WHO CARES! Sadly I dont have any pics of us. My bf was a victorian vampire ( Adult Victorian Vampire Costume - Vampire Costumes - Mens Costumes - Halloween Costumes - Party City ) and I was a court jester. We had to use white face paint for my boyfriend beacuse he's so tan and we darkened his eyes and added blood on his chin. I wore purple shorts, black panty hose and purple and pink argyle socks. I also painted my face white and did triangles around my eyes (purple and black, one pointing up and one pointing down) and a purple smile across my face. I think we looked awesome.
