We've been looking for a sofa for over a month and hubby can't decide and ponders over everything. So I'm still waiting because we really need furniture before the holidays.

    Congrats on your new furniture!

We've always got ours secondhand.. Our favorite couch was back in the middle 90's, we bought it from a newspaper add for $25, looked new (minus being a older style). The color wasn't the greatest (rusty floral color), but the comfort was unbelievable... A couple years later we sold it for $25 when we were moving out of state.

It is good to hear you coorindated your sofa and loveseat to your dog. Hope you can still see the dog if it is near the sofa. lol

Seriously, that is great news!!!! I am sure you saved and scrimped to get them. Enjoy your new furniture!!!

The Lazy boys recliners they replaced also in addition to the sofa. The recliners were 43 years old. My parents bought them when they first were married. Then passed them down to me when I married.

I just sold one of my cars, and told my wife we could go get a sofa and matching chair. Up until now, we've been using a decent set of mismatched and used furniture. We went to Sofa Mart, and picked up a reclining sofa plus chair.

Coincidentally, they match our cat, as well. Soft and oversized.

Congrats on your new furniture! Makes you wonder why you haven't gotten around to getting a new one sooner right? LOL

Everything had to fall into place just right before it could happen.

The right color, a good sale, the cash, everyone agreeing on what sofa to buy.

So it probably would not have happened before now anyway.

Yes, if I knew that furniture this comfy existed, I probably would have at least lusted after a new sofa earlier. LOL

I did go against my nature, and picked up a 5 year plan that involves free professional cleaning. We'll be getting started on kids within the next year, and since those things can't seem to keep their fluids contained, professional cleaning sounded like a good idea.
