We dress comfortable. Jeans and t-shirts. The only holiday I ever remember dressing up for is Easter.

Just to add:
If I could, I would wear a bikini. I get sooooo dang HOT in the kitchen with the oven going all day.
I take every spare second to go out on the deck and get some air. It was very drizzly yesterday.

Now that it is passed, I was sure glad I got a shower first thing in the morning because as it turned out everyone showed up early which is very unusual for them. They are usually late. I didn't even get time to change my clothes or put ANY makeup on. I know that I looked as tired as I felt. I still like doing it though.

When we go to the in laws for the family type dinner: I wear nice jeans and top (they are a pretty casual bunch) and when we have our mini version at home a few days later then it is my regular frump clothes as it will only be the hubby and me and sometimes DD.
I don't recall being overly dressed up at Thanksgiving as a child. We lived on a farm and there were chores to be done in and around getting dinner ready, as long as we were clean and clothes were clean it was good enough.

i made it a point this year to wear...
sweat pants and a big t shirt with a big sweatshirt... he he..i wanted to be comfortable even after i pigged out....and no the side of the family we were with on thanksgiving cares what we wear...they love us for who we are... the other side of the family would have cringed if i wore sweat pants there....however there may be a reason why we didn't go there....

We went to BIL's home. DH wore new jeans and a nice shirt, I wore nice slacks and blouse. Family and guests were dressed nicely, as for work or church. Nice does not mean there was not room for expansion!!! I thought I'd have to be rolled out of there, and I scored one of the turkey carcasses, which is sitting in the slow cooker making some excellent turkey broth for me.
