Are you content with life right now
I'm probably the most content I've ever been. It seems that has I've gotten older, its become more and more easy to be content and to be happy with what I have. I don't need much and living simply has thought me more about contentment than anything else.
Thoughts?

I am much more relaxed about everything as I am getting older. It feels so much better not to worry about everything.

Yes and no here. I am more content now than I was when I was younger. But I know I will be even more content once the dd's are raised

I'm content but have times I am feeling emotional about dd.It's her last year in high school and the changes our family is going through getting ready for the transition to college and grown up life has me a little melancholy. They grow up so fast.

Oh dear
I am not content at all!
Every part of my life is a mess at the moment, I honestly can't think of one part that I am happy with. I could list them but I wouldn't have enough space, I would bore and depress you and I'm not even sure it would be believeable in writing!!!
I wonder if I'm unlucky or if it all boils down to a state of mind and your personality? After all their are people in the world that have terrible problems and nothing and nobody but still seem to have serenity???
Wish I knew the answers - beats me?

No not really. I feel restless about what I have accomplished vs. what I thought I would have accomplished by now. I'm at a stage where I am realizing that some dreams aren't possible, but that they all aren't impossible too. I suppose I am better than my 20's though when I had a different set of things to "worry" about. LOL

I am pretty content. I have been with the same company for over 3 years (a record for me). DH is my soul mate (doesn't mean I don't daydream of smacking him with an iron skillet sometimes...). The frugalness is paying off. I don't panic about groceries and bills any longer. We are getting to a point where we are actually setting aside money so we won't have to rely on the plastic. I made personal changes that have given me freedom. I am not a slave to "image" anymore. A year ago, I wouldn't have been caught dead wearing no makeup and my glasses outside the house - been to work twice this week this way. I don't have to have the latest clothes, hairstyle, etc. It has been liberating to set limits on the relationship with my parents and sister (long story, but the whole situation was toxic. On the advice of my shrink and minister I set limits and do not allow them to run my life).

I know what you mean about image. I wore contacts for over twenty years and recently had to give them up because of my allergies. I felt so frumpy for awhile, but then thought, "WHY? It's still ME behind the glasses!" Now I don't even notice them.
I am very contented with where I am at in life. I figure I will never be a big splash in the world, but my small ripples will affect far more peopel and do a LOT more good!
