May we never forget. Thanks for the reminder. I think of my ex FIL when I think of anything to do with WWII. He will always hold a special place in my heart.

My Dad was at the movie theater watching "Gone With the Wind". They stopped the film to announce the attack and everyone went home in shock. He never did finish seeing the movie until it came on TV years later. He joined the Navy Armed Guard as soon has he was old enough to enlist and served in both the European and Pacific theaters of the war.

My dad tried three times to inlist but he had a crippled arm from birth and they wouldn't take him.He couldn't see why that mattered since he was a crack shot.

I always remember Pearl Harbor because growing up every year my Mom told us how she was baptised on Pearl Harbor. It's kind of neat and has helped us all remember!
