I preserve candy by eating it.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

~My MIL always makes her stuff 2 weeks in advance and keeps it between waxed paper in tight metal tins. Never tasted stale to me.
Freezing would be another option. Just pull out what you need a few hours before serving.~~Constance

Everyone in your house is so lucky Brenda! Your treats sound delicious. To Preserve the freshness and flavor of your Almond rocoa, peppermint bark and cashew brittle store it in the refrigerator or freezer. I would do the same with the macaroons in a tin. I put all my almond toffee, truffles etc in the refrigerator and they are fin. Hope that helps. I know of a hometown candy company that recommends the above to preserve the freshness of their products as well.

I don't know about the macaroons, but the hard candies should be fine stored in airtight containers or bags.

We do exactly what Nuisiance26 does. Hubby made peanut brittle the other day & it's in the tin covered in wax paper waiting for Mom & Dad to open it.
Keeps for weeks. We are doing the same with some homemade snack mix too.

I do the same as posted by others. I keep them cool in my garage and make sure I have waxed paper in between the layers.
Don't use any plastic or they could pick up a 'funny taste'.....but all those are good keepers.
