What interesting experiences everyone has had.

I was shopping and the register just kept trying to total up my items. After a few minutes the cashier called the supervisor over. The supervisor punched a few buttons but nothing happened. She opened up a new register and totalled up my items there. I made a joke that it looked like the register just needed a break to sit on Santa's lap and not to worry, things happen. She was very nice and said I will print you out a discount coupon for your next visit. Yay!!! and we both had a chuckle.

I dealt with some really nice folks this year, including a merchant who replaced a gift certificate I'd accidentally thrown out on just my word! Sometimes people amaze me in both directions

I've been reading this thread and decided to comment. My dh is a lead driver and the 18th was his birthday. Before I could take him out to dinner we had to go and pick up a tanker to take it to a welding shop since it was in an accident a few days prior. It is an hour away from our town and as we are on the interstate I am cut off, horns blown at me and even flipped off, mind you I am going the speed limit, but people seemed to be in a hurry. So I take a deep breath and remember my oldest son borrowed my car a week before and his twisted sister cd was in my car, lol. I cranked that cd on and was laughing. My own insanity here.
So we get the tanker taken care of and proceed to the place he wanted to eat at. The lady was kind bought our drinks for us and upon learning it was dh's birthday gave with a slice of chocolate cake free. I was impressed and in a much better mood. I would need it for later.
When we were done we go to Toys R Us, because our two granddaughters wanted a Justin Bieber doll. We pull in the lot one car is pulling out and there is a spot just a few over, so my dh waits to let the car out. Just as we are pulling in the other spot there is a lady in a van (she had backed in so she could see us) pulled her van forward almost hitting the back passenger door. Dh needed to back up so he could fit in the spot correctly, but she wouldn't budge. So we sat and she was was yelling and I am getting irratated and dh is telling me to calm down, he doesn't call me red for nothing. Then finally the smoke stack went off, I turn and look at her open my door because I was about to be very rude. She sees the look on my face and backs up, I then got back in, I didn't have to say what I was going to. But still the rudeness of it.
The other funny thing is everytime I go to Walmart, I get stopped and asked where something is. I always take the person to where its at, unless its on the other side of the store then I explain exactly where an item is. I want paid by Walmart. lol
Dh and I feel people are ruder than last year, but there still are some nice people out there.

I also don't ususally go out and shop, I do it all online, I find numerous great deals and very nice gifts. But this year I wanted to go shop. Never again will I do this. It is mad. If you need $1 gifts Dollar tree is online also.
    Just had to share.
Everyone have a blessed Merry Christmas.
