I baked up a bunch of cookies this year to have on hand when unexpected gifts pop us. People are always gracious in recieving them I think many people enjoy homemade but don't have the time or knowledge.

I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who posted on this thread. It's funny the last time I made cookies and I brought some over, for them, I easily gave them a dozen or more I wasn't counting. My friend's Dad said."Precious can back me cookies anytime, these are delicious!" What a great compliment. I gave them their gift last night while we were at a party because I didn't know if I would see them before Christmas. They invited us over to go and visit with them tonight. I know my friends don't take the time to bake cookies or treats of any sort, I think you are all on the right thought of if someone doesn't have the knowledge or the time this should be well received.

To be honest I haven't purchased cookies in a very long time, because it's just as easy for me to make them at home. Considering for the most part we have all the ingredients on hand in our pantry.
