    Default Reminding Myself to Hibernate

during the Christmas season. This area that I'm living in has gone nuts.Dh & I were going to go to Walfart b/c we were nearly out of dogfood & needed a refridgerator light. We live about 2 miles from the store & it was madness trying to drive there. When we did get to Walmart, the parking lot was so horrible that we decided to just go back home & hibernate until the hype was over. If we run out of dog food before then, we'll just give the dogs scraps...we can live without a light in the fridge & the other stuff that was on the list can wait too. We need to decorate the tree anyway.LOL

It took me 10 minutes to get out of my drive waiting for traffic. I live across the street from Walmart... Ugh

What makes it bad is I don't even do Walmart except for their $4 prescriptions.

My DH is a grocery store manager and you would not believe some of the stories! I do my best to make sure I have what I need in the house before the holiday and to avoid the stores at all costs! People are nuts! Traffic is awful ! It is not worth it to me. Besides, I need to get my rear off this puter and get to doing some cooking! Merry Christmas all

I try very, very hard to be done with Cmas shopping by Tgiving. This year, not so much but that was ok.

I do my twice monthly shopping at Walmart for groceries, and stop going there for December. It's just not worth the hassle.

I was out last night getting the groceries and OMG it was unbelievable. The traffic was the worst. I really try to be pleasant and smile at people when I am out. Mindful of others in the aisles etc. but some people are really in their own worlds or just don't care I guess. Glad today I am not shopping though.

I was at the grocery store this morn at 7am mainly to bring back returnable bottles ($12.05 worth, been putting it off) and get just a few items. When I left it was getting busy. I'm all set to hibernate for quite a while.

    Stay safe & be Merry!

I am planning on stopping at the store to buy some heavy cream on my walk today. I always try to stay out of the stores this time of year. There is just to much craziness and I would rather have a nice quite holiday.

But come January I will try to hit some of the after season sales. Am hoping Ann Taylor has the sales they had last year want to purchase some pants!!

I would like to apologize to everyone on behalf of my Mother's driving this season. OH MY STARS!! She drove from my house to Hobby Lobby and TAILGATED, I mean INCHES away from the giant semi truck in front of us! Finally I gasped loudly and startled her. She said, "what?" I said, "you are REALLY close to that truck" she said, "I know, he needs to go faster." I told her, "I'm not in a hurry, I'm on Winter Break." she said, "I am."

WHAT?? TO DIE?? No joke, to stand up for my own safety when we came out of Hobby Lobby I asked if I could drive. She made a joke about me not liking her bad driving and I ignored it. My life is more important than her "in a hurry" mood.

2 weeks ago she drove while we were going to craft shows and nearly got us and/or the other family killed. No, not exaggerating. She caused the other car (by unexpectedly turning left in front of them) to swerve so hard that their front passenger tire came off the ground, I looked back to see if they rolled, that is how serious it was. I took the keys at that time as well.

I am NOT going to put up with this. My life is important to me. I should have thought of that before letting her drive to Hobby Lobby but I wasn't thinking as she had the car running already when I came out of the house.

Her brain is completely on Christmas Shopping/Planning and that is unacceptable.

ok I will shut up now but I wanted to let you all know that yes, tis the season, be very very aware because people like that are everywhere, stay safe and I will keep my mom off the road as much as I can.

We went early today and it was not bad yet. I was a bad mommy and forgot to get the kittens their Christmas present. With 3 kids supervising, we got the kittens their catnip and some toys. Since we were there, I got some neti pot packets and some cookies for the neighbors.

I actually went to walmart here today and got a spot real quick, n wait or line today. The store was busy but not too bad. ANd I managed to get in and out of the store in less than twenty minutes. (although I forgot something....)

I make it a point to avoid shopping if at all possible too near the holidays. I really hate fighting the crowds!
