Anyone know when the 2010 Tax books
will come in the mail? I have gone to the IRS office near me and they don't have them yet.

That is because they aren't done with the changes from the new laws that happend in November. The schedule A won't be ready until mid February they are saying. They change the last day to file this year is April 18th not the 15th.

I seem to recall getting a notice in the mail last year that they aren't going to mail them out anymore in order to cut costs.

I saw something online a few days ago that indicated they were NOT being mailed out this year.
Try the post office or your local library - they usually have a supply of the forms, but they might just not be ready yet.Jean
