I love to feed the birds at my house. If my neighbor asked me not to, I may move my feeder to the other side of the house and bring it in at night. Coons have raided my feeders on occasion. They come at night and usually drag the feeder across the yard. They can bend the wire hanger trying to get inside. You would know if a coon came to your feeder. I would keep an eye out and see if anyone is leaving trash or pet food out at night. That will draw all kinds of critters. A coon will fight and cut up a dog over food that is left out. Tell your neighbor she needs to get a hav-a-heart trap that will not hurt any animal that she catches. Coons love marshmellows. Bait the trap with that and you won't catch as many cats. Then she can take the coons away from her property and then close up the opening they are using.

Simply saying yes to this request is not an implied yes to anything else that comes down the pike. We respect our neighbors and they respect us, they have been accepting of our chickens and we work with them on all kinds of things. Isn't that what it's really all about. Why would anyone feel such a request was out of order when she seemed from the op to ask in a simple way.

I've read so many posts on here of things that people have done to their neighbors that were way more over the top than a neighbor asking someone to move or remove their birdfeeder. Everything is a negotiation but most people take a nuclear approach. I applaud the op in her sensible decision! Good for you!
