I say "Bless your heart" in person and on the phone when someone is nice to me. Folks at Verizon and our local stores remark on how sweet it sounds to get nice compliments from a customer for a change. I spent some time in South Florida and it just slips off my tongue .

When I'm amazed I say "Well, cut off my legs and call me Shorty". Makes my friends laugh out loud.

Another one that's a favorite..."It's not going to jump out and say 'Here I am!'"...said to dh or three sons whenever they claim they're looking for something, but can't find it 'cause really they AREN'T looking! They're too lazy to look properly...they just expect it to leap out!

Nichole, I do the same thing with "Really, REALLY?". Sometimes I switch it up and repeat "What was that?"

It usually takes them a few minutes to realize I've insulted them, by that time I'm gone..............
