I love Jack LaLanne, I used to watch him with my Aunt in the morning when I was a kid.
We even have his Jr juicer, I make my youngest a small glass juice with every meal. I've had it for years and it's still going strong! It will be weird to not have him on late night infomercials anymore. RIP Mr. LaLanne.
Funny story: my godmother would exercise to his morning show and one day she saw a telephone lineman watching her! I think the fact that she was wearing her babydoll pajamas at the time made it even more interesting for him
My mom and I both used to exercise with Jack La Lane. I loved watching his show on our little tv as it came in on black and white. He was so enthusiastic and this was his true passion. May he rest in peace and saying a prayer for his wife Elaine of 51 years.
I'm really bummed that he didn't make it to at least 100. He did SO much to encourage people to keep fit at any age.
Jack La Lanne had such amazingly high energy his whole life and it was infectious. Even just watching him in interviews would perk me up. He had the energy of a ferret.
I also always admired how devoted to each other Jack and Elaine La Lanne were. They were truly best friends as well as spouses.
Well my mom was a stick and didn't exercise with him, at least not while I was watching. I do remember watching him every morning before Captain Kangaroo. I loved his dog. There will never be another like him. Not a phony bone in his body. RIP Jack.
I remember my whole school going to the auditorium when I was in junior high (I know, but we didn't have middle schools in my area yet), and my classmates who were unaccustommed to seeing older folks couldn't believe he hadn't died then, and that was in the late 60s. Great messages from him. RIP
