we went out today after 10 inches of snow yesterday. the firemen were clearing around the hydrants. plows were trying to knock down the snowpiles at the end of the streets as people can't see and there are quite a few accidents. this was all on top of what we already had accumulated from the previous storms. we are getting more snow on the way. it isn't fun anymore. ok, i am officially becoming a cry baby.
how are you all doing in your neck of the woods? any one want to commiserate with me?
I agree with you. I love snow and we have been skipped over all winter. Just talked to someone who lives in Minnesota and they had so much snow they had nowhere to put the new stuff and we know how the east coast has been. Well . . . . .looks like we are going to get a large amount tomorrow night.
I do love summer too and wish it was a little longer for gardening and swimming.
Are you getting this big snow storm that is coming tomorrow night cab?
we had 17" wed night into thursday - it was the 8th snow so far this season and the 3rd or 4th major snowstorm with the next coming next week.
i do home care so it screws with my scheduling and since some of my pts with able bodied family members who can shovel - dont bother to shovel a path for me because they didnt "get to it yet" - and think i am supposed to wear snow shows or climb the steps to their front door like i am a mountain climber .
interestingly enough the towns with the highest taxes have the worst streets arund here to when it comes to plowing .
We are getting our fair share too,and I am sick of it.What gets me is our forecasters call for "flurries" and I am watching these huge snowflakes piling up.
Ask me my top 3 reasons for moving to FL, go ahead lol....hopefully you all thaw out soon. My parents are sick of it at this point, too...so much that they're making another trip down here less than 3 months after their last trip.
Super snow warning with ice for here this week: 10-16 inches. But my STL area friends say they are in for even more. Possibly 1/2 inch ice with up to 24 inches of snow!!!
STL Post says that a typical STL winter gets 13.3 inches of snow. They have had double that so far this winter, with still all of next week to come.
lady v.............another ma neighbor...lol.....they won't even say how much they think we will get yet.....we have to wait till the last minute before they predict....locally anyways. groan....
We have 2 feet in the backyard, and that's after 3 days of temps above freezing to allow for melting. They are predicting another 18 inches on Wednesday. No idea where we will put it.
Last week we had "flurries" that amounted to 4-5 inches.
I am so sick of snow. Even my 4 year old wanted to know when it was going to be spring last week.
We're up to 72 inches this winter & I'm sure we'll get more. We had about 4 more inches yesterday & woke up to -21F this morning. Wind chill is -44F. BTW, this is a record. The snow, that is.
We here in Mn got more snow to and of coarse the plows are slow at coming out so every one is getting stuck it's cold besides it's suppose to stop at 6:00 am seems like Can't wait till Spring! :bigsnow:
I can jump on the "I'm sick of winter" train and I normally like winter
This is just too much. almost everyone in my neighborhood was trying to get the snow off their roofs this past weekend. I was feeling safe until I saw that, now I'm starting to panic. I'm not showing any damage now but its just a matter of time if the snow continues.
We went sking in NY yesterday and they don't have nearly the snow we have in CT.
