Default Sock shopping - good deal? - $1 a year

I'm picky about socks they have to feel good, Smooth, no big bump at toe. They have to stay up too.

About five + years ago I bought some Gold toe turn down sock. Smooth cotton ( very fine weave) in white set of 6.
I'm hard on socks: extra hot water ( sanitary cycle) I go sock footed around the house wear the same six over and over. You get the picture. After 5 + years they are finally wearing out.

So hubby says buy some new socks.

I end up buying the same set of white Gold toe turn down socks in a set of 6. Priced $15 at Jc Penny used a $10 off $10 I received so I end up paying $5 for the 6 socks.

If they last the minimum of years the previous pairs did then I will have ended up paying $1 a year for socks.

I'm sock picky too and I like those gold-toe socks. I have a few pair. I got them at Ross but I think I probably paid more than $1 for a pair of them. Where does one get a $10 Penny's coupon? I don't usually shop there but I think we may have a store around here somewhere.

I get them in the mail from time to time. I'm not sure how or why. I don't have a Jc Penney's credit card. I do order from the catalog from time to time so that might be where they got my address.

They tend to look like junk mail and they come in what looks like fliers.

    Edited to add:

I found this website that tells you how to sign up to receive coupons and sale notices from Jc Penney.
