..will you please say a prayer for the mom of one of my dearest American friends.
She has been taken into hospital with congestive heart failure. This is a lady who has been troubled with bad health as long as I can remember but has never ever let it get her down.
She has been operated on so many times for the most horrible things you can imagine and each time she bounces back.
Her faith is one of the things that keeps her going.
She hopes to celebrate her 60th wedding anniversary in March.
Please say a prayer for this amazing woman. Her name is Mary-Lou.
Thank you!!!
As soon as I know anything I'll post it. The time difference makes things a little difficult but I'll try and call my friend later today when it is mid-morning in the US.
Yes, this is a tough little lady and I love her to bits.
She is one of the most AMAZING, kindest, lovable people I know. She raised 6 kids, worked full time as a nurse and even though her health hasn't been good for years, she goes to church every single day.
She has one of the most contagious laughs I have ever heard.
'This evening (this was yesterday), they took her oxygen off, which is a good sign. Prayers!!!!! Tomorrow she has her stress test and hopefully we will get answers as to what caused this and hopefully that won't put her back on the oxygen. She is a fighter, when I went today she was sitting up with her prayer book. Your prayers are working. Keep them coming. Thank you thank you thank you. Surgery is not an option on her heart, so we need a miracle!!!!!
Thank you for the update. I love devout, spunky, optimistic, good-hearted older folks. They are such an inspiration and good influence to the younger generations. Your friend sounds like a special soul. I have prayed for her to have more time on this earth for her friends and family who obviously love her very much.
I spoke to my girlfriend yesterday and also her mom in the hospital - I am so grateful that they have a telephone next to her bed in the hospital.
It was SO GREAT to hear her voice. She is such an amazing lady.
Even through her almost gasping for breath, she asks how everyone is here. (She has been put back on oxygen.)
(I get all teary just writing this - it was so wonderful talking with her yesterday. I just wish I could get over to see her).
This is what my friend wrote on facebook yesterday evening and is in a nutshell what I was told yesterday over the phone.
My Mom will be heading in for heart stuff. PRAYERS PLEASE...we think cath, stent if possible but at 82 with the other side not working well, only God knows what tomorrow will bring. Thanks all for your prayers.
It was so wonderful to speak to her.
PLEASE PLEASE continue to pray for her.
