DD#1 Was Accepted!!!!!!!
My oldest daughter received the news yesterday that she has been accepted to go to school at Seneca College in Canada. She is on cloud 9
She has saved up a big chunk of her tuition, but has until june to save up the rest & for her plane ticket. Our funds are limited, but I am determined to help her as much as I can....she has about $2500 left to save up & not alot of time to do it in. She's going to start selling some of her things b/c it would be too costly to send them later anyway...I've been thinking about a garage sale....anyone else have any suggestions about raising money in a short period of time? She is unable to receive financial aid due to the fact that she will be considered a foreign student.

Congrats to your daughter. I have never sold on ebay but you may check into it. Let us know how things go.

Not sure what is available in your area. But some ideas would be to housesit, pet sit (cats do not need to be walked), babysit (depending on hours). It all adds up. I think it is great that your daughter has been able to save up!!

Congrats! That's awesome! She will be about an hour from where I live!
I have had wonderful luck placing ads on Kijiji and Craigslist. Depends what she is selling but she may be able to sell some things there, particularly if she is selling furniture or larger items.

Congrats to her! Seneca is a great college and she is going to have a blast! Try craigslist, eBay or word of mouth to sell her items. That would be the fastest. I think it is great she has saved so much. I wish her the best of luck!

congratulations to your DD and your whole family for the marvelous support in raising a really neat young lady!!

Many many congratulations to you and your daughter.
What an accomplishment on saving up so much for her tuition.
WTG!!!!
I can only say what the rest have done - maybe a small part time job babysitting etc. Even small amounts add up quite quickly.
