Getting back on track.....
Well the last couple months have been less than frugal for me. But now I'm ready to get back on the bandwagon and get myself into a better place! We moved into a larger more expensive apartment. I had to buy a washer and dryer for the new apartment, because we didn't have any to move from the old place. I also bought a new car. Which was unnecessary, but I got back a large tax return and just wanted to splurge. So now I'm ready to buckle down and get back into my frugal lifestyle. My elec/heating bills will be higher because of living in a larger apartment and also having a washer and dryer. I should be getting better gas mileage with the new car, even though it will not be a huge difference from my last car...it will be a little better. I'm not really expecting my car insurance to go up...because there is actually a little more saftey features in my new car...which should bring down the new car jump in the insurance. I plan on trying to air dry as much of my clothing as possible now. I will be saving money on laundry because it's cheaper to do it at home than the laundry mat, like I was doing before. I need to get back into couponing and stockpiling. Although I do need to buy some new things for my new apartment. They are all planned purchases, that I am using my tax return money for....and it will all be in cash and no credit cards. A good thing with buying a new car...the dealership is going to try and get me some money back on the remaining warranty from my old car, because there was two years left on the warranty. So if they can do that...then I will apply that money to future car payments. While this has been an exciting time, with moving and getting a new car, and new things for my new place....I am ready to get back to saving money and having that safety net in place. Hope to be able to catch up around here as much as possible too!

Congrats on your new home and car. Before you know it you will be back on track it really doesn't take long once you get your mind set on a goal. Having your own washer and dryer will make life a lot easier for you. Welcome back!

I learned the hard way (wouldn't spend any money if i didn't have to) that you need to make yourself and your family happy...I'm very happy for you! How exciting having more room for your little fella's to have more space to move..A washer & dryer of your own is such a blessing..I use to have to wash my newborn( breastfed) son's clothes in the bathtub because I didn't have any money to buy anything..A new car is a dream come true..I'm glad that you were able to purchase/rent with cash..Now go stockpile that food..LOL..

Not shoving those quarters into the washer and dryer, not to mention the extra gas to get to the laundromat, will help toward the higher electric bill.
I hadn't been in one for many years and went last year to wash a comforter that wouldn't fit in the washer...I couldn't believe the cost. Yeah, not shoving the quarters in the machine will help.Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.
