Default Anyone see the new Basic products at CVS?

Went to CVS the past week and have noticed they have a new brand called Basic. Which is great since the items seem priced lower. Grant it CVS does have their store brand so I guess they now have a generic brand?

Just thought it was interesting. I am debating about buying the bodywash. Probably will end up getting some.

Anyone else notice the new basic products?

Not yet, but I am going tomorrow to check it out. I know I will try something. Will let everyone know my opinion when I try it. Thanks.

i have seen them and noticed the cases of water are only 1.97 this week - my dh likes to keep bottled water in his trunk for when he travels- i like to keep 1 or 2 in storage / pantry in case we have a water issue /

Yes, they have them on sale this week and I want to try the shampoo and conditioner. I believe it was 2 bucks for a 32 oz. Great deal!

haha, just sent DD up there to pick me up some. Great price! I have the shampoo and conditioner in my shower now. Will let you know if I like it. If I do, I'm going to stock up on more to add to my HBA stock and try the bodywash.

Heck, a good sale on 32 oz. Tresemme is 3.50. 2.00 bucks is a steal!

In the eighties my Mom used to use a soap called Basic. I wonder if they are the same company. She loved it by the way and used it for years.

I can't help but think about the black and white boxes of food that I would purchase in the 80's when generic started showing up in grocery stores. I would open my small cabinet in the kitchen and see black and white boxes.

Just Basics is CVS's new store brand.

I've tried 2 of the snack items. The vanilla wafers were decent, but really prefer the Murray brand over the other brands. Still well worth a $1 a box. However, I really like the teddy bear crackers. Very Yummy! Pretty sure I'll buy these again. I really like the clean design of the boxed food items. Haven't noticed the health/beauty items yet, but not really shopping for those items w/all the others deals I've gotten there recently.

I tried the laundry soap this weekend. They had it on sale. It worked just fine. Cleaned very well and it doesn't leave a strong perfume odor.
