Who do you think you are?
Have you seen this show? I just started watching yesterday. I DVR'd a show and then watched some older episodes that are on OnDemand.
Really interesting if you are into finding out about your families roots.
I watched one on Rosie O'Donnell, and Lionel Ritchie. And part of one on another actor who I don't know.
Other people that are going to have episodes are Tim McGraw, Ashley Judd, Kim Catrall, Gweneth Paltrow, and several others.
They find out really interesting things about thier ancestors.Married 22 years to Mark

If they have found out really terrible stuff they have not shown that part. The things they do say are pretty interesting.
It really is amazing what they find. They do obviously have help searching the information out. The actors that is.Married 22 years to Mark

I really like that show!
Spike Lee and Matthew Broderick had extremely interesting heritage, I highly suggest watching those if you can.

I got a grandpa who was a whiskey runner during the prohibition, and that's about the nicest thing you can say about him.
My family came from the Canary Islands, which is off the coast of Africa. Sometimes I tell people I'm African American. It's funny 'cause I'm white. Ok, it's not that funny, but humor is free... even bad humor.~Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.~

I've watched every episode & enjoy it. I understand they use "big" names to draw the audience. But... these people can !afford! to have their genealogy done! Why not pick out an every day person & send them around the world,
in search of their history? Like me!! or you!! How cool would that be? And I would watch it! ps.. One of these days I want to subscribe to Ancestry.com., one of these days........Ali

My Friday night ritual when it's on is to work on our family trees on Ancestry.com while watching. I've traced mine and DH lineage back to the 1500s in some parts. Its really cool the stuff I've found, war draft cards, ship passenger lists etc. It's also fun when you see the address of an ancestor from 100 years ago, I like to look it up on google maps to see what it looks like now.

We love that show!
My Mother and Uncle are totally into the family tree thing. My Mother did my Grandmother's side. My Uncle did my Grandfather's side. Both sides extremely interesting.
After last weeks show my youngest wanted to get on the computer and research DH's side. He's always been thrilled he was Hungarian, loved the Irish from his other Grandmother, but was dismayed when he realized his last name's origins does not come with favorable history. Even still he's completely into it, as is my oldest. Who would have thought I'd have such little historians. Must have been all those historical field trips I drug them on. LOL!~~~
