Smile Little Miss is so lucky

Little Miss lost her pocket puppy, a gumball sized brown puppy.

She had taken it to girl scouts with her and when she returned home it was gone. She still had two of the three puppies but the brown was was gone.

She panicked and cried. Hubby calmed her down and we looked everywhere we could to see if it gotten lost int he car, the yard or the house. We didn't find it.

Hubby kept reassuring her "It will be found" I wasn't so sure. If she had lost it at scouts with 30 girls her age it could be in someone else pocket (finders keepers).

    She went to sleep.

This morning she told me that the gray pocket puppy was sad because he missed his wife. (Way to pull at the heart strings girl) Hubby reassure her "It will be found" I'm more unsure so I prepare her to handle the loss while I drive her to school.

I run my errands ( shopping day) and head a different way because only one redbox had a copy of Tangled.

The different route takes me right by the church where the girl scouts meet. I have a strong urge to look in the direction of the parking lot and I see what looks like two pebbles. I decided to verify that they are pebbles. One was but the other was Little Miss's gumball sized brown puppy. She is one very lucky girl.

I let Hubby know the good news and he responds like he knew that it would be found. What is up with that?

I wonder who will be happier Little Miss or the gray puppy.

I am so glad you found her.

Isn't it funny what kids get attached to. We had a similar thing happen last year. My DD had hand-sewed her own mini rag doll (less than 3 inches tall) and named her Emily. DD wanted to take EMily to a homeschool event for show and tell, against my advice. When we got there, Emily was gone. We searched the car and the path from the car to the event; nothing. DD cried and cried because not only was it a favorite toy at the time, she had made it herself and would never be able to replicate her. It didn't help that she was extra emotional due to the divorce trauma.

We had stopped off at ToysRus before the homeschool event, so I drove by on the way home and we found a bedraggled Emily in the parking lot. She was grubby and missing her 'coat of many colors' (DD was into Dolly Parton at the time and had stitched Emily a little rag coat) but otherwise unharmed. I was sooooo relieved.
