Library sculpture.
This is in front of the Black Diamond branch of the King County Library. It's a sculpture, and in the front it has some wordliness about children and books, but what's interesting about it is the view from this angle. A friend took it himself and posted it to his facebook page. I would not have believed this was real if he hadn't taken this picture himself.
He says that it's the King County government telling the tax payers what they think of them. I've been telling people that it was commissioned by the library in honor of the voting public after the last library levy was voted down, which I totally made up. I really have no idea what it's supposed to be.~Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.~

Uh, welll, public art can be "interesting." Has anyone complained? Has it been there long? You can bet the older kids at the library have noticed it!

I don't know, it's not my library. I think it's quite a ways away from me. I'm probably going to call them tomorrow and ask. I'm super nosey.

I always find it interesting that 3d sculptures can look so different than the artist intended, when viewed from different angles.

~Oh dear.

I think it looks exactly like the artist intended, not a mistake at all. Have you ever studied the hidden things in famous art? The things they got away with(especially church murals), just crazy!~~Constance

I'm with Nuisance26, I think that's what the artist intended.
Here's a really funny one that we saw in Nova Scotia a few years ago. I don't have a picture of my own, but there is one in the link. I remember driving down the highway, and both DH & I were saying, "Is that what I think it is??"
