    Default Sugar...Heads up!

I've been trying to stockup on sugar for a couple of months..I've been buying the 25lb bags @ Sams for $16.23 a bag..I just happen to go in the baking isle in Walmart (havnt been in this store for awhile) and noticed that they had 25lb bags of true value sugar for $11.98..I thought it was an error since their 5lb bags are more then $4.00 a bag..anyway *I scanned it and the price was correct..I'm not sure if it's regional or not but worth a look at your local walmart...So far I bought 175lbs and just need another 75lbs to reach my stockup goal..

I want to mention that the reason I'm stocking up is for several reasons.. we are a family of 6 as of right now because my brother has moved in with us..many other reasons are prices are rising really quickly...example Sams raised the price by $4.00 for that same 25lb bag of sugar in a matter of months..not sure if we would see this or not but I've read about the possibility sp? of a shortage..I'm all about prepping right now just in case the poop hit's the fan..SUGAR never goes bad! if it gets hard I just use my food processor..I'd really like to have 300lbs of sugar honestly..

Our WM is high, but Aldi's has sugar for $2.39/5lb, Save-a-lot $2.49/5lb. I'd like to find some good old 10 gallon milk cans to store some in. Darn antique market has inflated the price tho'.

Our's is the opposite..Aldi's is getting $3.09 a 5lb bag..at least that's what the price was about 6 weeks ago...I would love those old milk can's myself..if I had only known to ask my grandparent's whom owned 3 farm's for them can's before they all disappeared/thrown out many years ago..

Has anyone else seen this price at their local WM? Ours is a 20 min drive in a part of town that I do not get to often. That is an awesome stock up price. I would by as many as I could before the price creeps up. Thanks for the heads up.

If you call them, they will usually check for you

I am going to check mine, it's right up the street. That is too good of a deal to pass up, and we need more sugar desperately. We go through 25lbs easily, and I want to add to my stockpile.
