Default So I was Googling milk cans for storage and

    I came across this site http://www.fda.gov/Food/ResourcesForYou/Consumers/ucm079516.htm .

    Had to do a "Whoaaa!"

and sent them an email that said -

"I believe you are misleading consumers on the dangers of unpasteurized dairy products. On your web page - Contact CFSAN - you say the 800 people got sick from unpasteurized dairy product since 1998. That may be a fact, but that is ONLY 13 people a year! How about showing how many per thousand got sick to put it in perspective? Compare that to how many got sick because of an allergic reaction to dairy products in general. Compare that to the number of people drinking milk that choked on it. Compare that to the number of people reading your biased reporting and had heart attacks!!!

I know it's "ONLY" anecdotal, but I was raised on unpasteurized dairy products, my kids were raised on unpasteurized dairy products. My wife was raised on unpasteurized dairy products along with her siblings. We're both 65 with healthy immune systems. Our kids are healthy. Her siblings are healthy. I know you don't count anecdotal for much, but I count it a bit higher than industry supported research.

    Sincerely,

    Lee Parker"

They won't change it though. They want everyone to think that pastuerized is better.

Yeah, there's no way they'll change it. They don't want to support something that's "unsafe" *rolls eyes*

I don't expect them to change it (yet). But I feel a little better.
