I know I sound like a paranoid freak but I am terrified of fire, so I would just lay in that bed every night and think about the fact that I would burn to death if a fire broke out there. I am weird I know LOL

Some of the summer people have yurts on an island in a lake near us. I guess after they spent $1.5 million buying the island they couldn't afford to build a cabin on it. But rumor is the yurts have hardwood floors.

I love that place. I think my biggest issue would be how close the bed is to the ceiling. I could definitely use another foot or two of space up there.

I could never live there, but I have great admiration for her ability to do so. I was claustrophobic just looking at it from the front door. And all those things piled high, I'd never be able to reach. Plus the ladder to the bed (I don't do heights well), and how close the bed is to the ceiling...nope...

But it sure gives me pause to think about all the stuff I have, and how I could fit it into a small house at the very least, a 2 bedroom apartment optimally. Certain things would definitely go. And there would be a rethinking of things like entertainment, to free up space.

We've had this discussion. DH thinks we could never fit into a smaller house. But I've pointed out to him in this large house with sunroom, family room and living room we have 3 sets of sofas, chairs, coffee tables. Two of those could go easily, and we just keep the best looking one. Preferably the futon that folds out into a bed. It's amazing how you collect things over the course of your life...especially if it is all cheap or secondhand...

Yup, low prices are a great way to accumulate clutter. Higher prices are an incentive to be more selective and buy less, at least for a lot of us.

I am IMPRESSED with what she's done with the place!!! Wowser!!!

Wouldn't like the price but I'm sure that's all relative for where she's at. Love it, got some good ideas from her. Thank you for sharing the link.
