Oh my heck we just bought a car!
So so sooo didn't want another car payment. Our last vehicle has been paid off for almost 4 yrs now. But hubby's truck is slowly rusting away lol. It's almost 20yrs old and has 170k miles on it. The gas mileage SUCKS and with gas at $4/gallon, well, we had to do something.
We got a 2005 VW Jetta for $12,995. The loan is for 30 months and the interest rate is 4.75%. It's very nice, very clean, lots of bells & whistles and not a lick of rust

Hope you don't have the problems we did with a Jetta...that was the first car my oldest daughter bought...the parts are UNREALISTIC when you have problems...spark plugs were $16 each and that was over 2 yrs ago...wiring harness over $300 ....crazy...we got rid of it after 2-3 yrs....money pit...now maybe we had a lemon, I don't know but everything we had to do to it was crazy expensive...we have a 94 honda and had it for over 11 yrs and no problems, other than routine stuff...but parts and stuff were never that much money...hope you have better luck...

Congratulations!
We've been Volkswagon owners for decades, I've loved all 4 we've had.
My 2001 Jetta is still moving along (knock on wood), plus I love the monthly payment..$0.
