Flu bleech and tornado wow
Isn't it kind of late for flu season???? Its spring. I always thought it was in winter. I thought I had dodged the flu dh had but.... I felt kind of yucky Fri but figured it was lack of sleep. Sat and Sun I could have cared less if someone wanted to shoot me. I only got up once or twice to use the restroom. Half human today but still kind of bleech.
I can't believe I slept through this but..... We had bad storms with 2 confirmed tornado touch downs on Sunday. I slept through it all plus the ringing phone! Thankfully the tornado didnt touch down by my place but 3 miles away. I was so surprised when dh and the kids got home all panicked because they heard the news on the radio while 30 miles away and I didnt answer the phone. Stuff and branches strewn all over from the wind and I didnt even wake up. I was so surprised to see the news! I'm kind of glad I slept through it!~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000

We have the flu here to. It has been horrible. DH missed work yesterday for the only the third time in 20 years of marriage . He was SICK. I didnt have it as bad as he did. Now my oldest has it and she is running a high fever and just lays and cries that everything hurts so bad and if she sits up she gets a headrush. Poor kid. I hope you make a full recovery soon and glad to hear you made through the rough weather safely.

Took dd to the urgent care last night. Her throat is full of white bumps, very sore throat, swollen tonsils and lymph nodes, body aches and fever. They did a strep test, called it just a virus and sent her home. Dr. said to just take OTC meds and wait it out. This morning I woke up and realized that she had shared her germs with me. Got the makings of a fine sore throat, white bumps and all. I'm calling it the flu and just figure it was money wasted at the dr. since they didn't know what to do either. ERRRR

We've all been down with the flu, too. My husband missed 4 days of work, which he has never done! This is a nasty bug. I was thinking it was because of the late spring.
I agree-did we ever have the storms here Sunday! We live about 45 minutes from where the tornado hit in Cottonville. Wowza! So far about $3 million in damages. Now we are starting to flood again.

Been there and done that with my dd also...viral pharyngitis...very painful, but usually has to run its course, or that what the Dr's keep telling us.
But make sure to check back with the Dr if they cultured the swabs for the strep test. Just because it showed up negative for the rapid strep test doesn't mean it's not positive...
Hope you two feel better soon!

We're right there with you....right down to the storms!
While you were peacefully sleeping away your illness...I had my poor DD down in our damp, cold basement while she was running a rather nasty fever and fighting off whatever virus is going around. Apparently it is something that mimics strep. So far in the last 2.5 weeks we've had flu, pneumonia (DH), pink eye (DS) and whatever nasty virus DD has! Nothing all winter then BAM! Oh AND DD was exposed to mono...so we're keeping an eye on her for that too!
Those storms were nasty. You must have been pretty out of it to have slept through it! I imagine your family was pretty freaked out by you not answering the phone! Glad everyone is safe and that you are starting to feel better.

I hope you are both better!
OH MY GOODNESSS! I HOPE EVERYONE IS OK!
Oh your poor DD! That was us also right down to nothing all winter and bam! Gee are we long lost twins? LOL I still cant believe i slept that hard. I was 103.4 when dh got home and coughing and hurt all over. Glad it is almost gone. I hope the sickies leave your household alone now!~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000
