Thunder Over Louisville

"Rated as one of the top 100 events in North America, the Derby Festival's Opening Ceremonies is truly a sight to behold. And each year, more than 500,000 eager thrill-seekers do just that."

Thunder's being held a week early here due to Easter falling next weekend. It's cold and wet. That will not stop the crowds from coming and waiting through the day for the fireworks. Every year the airshow and fireworks are amazing. I've only been down to the riverfront fighting the crowds twice myself but even on TV they are unbelievable. It should be intresting this year as we just got pounded with rain this past week and the river is up. I'm pretty sure I heard them saying the center islands they usually use are covered so they were scrambling. If you get a channel showing it tonight it might be worth a gander, especially if you have younger kids - pretty lights and music with the ability to regulate the BOOM.
