Agreed. One of these days "Peter" is gonna either come looking for his money, or "Paul" is going to go without.

So....if one of us with our household budget, was paying out more than coming in...wouldn't this be a problem ???

Now, the president wants to cut back on spending and work on the budget. The longer they wait, the worse it gets.

Also, an estimated 59% of the 308.7 million Americans in this country get at least one federal benefit, according to the Census Bureau, based on 2009 data. An estimated 46.5 million get Social Security; 42.6 million get Medicare; 42.4 million get Medicaid; 36.1 million get food stamps; 12.4 million get housing subsidies; and 3.2 million get Veterans' benefits.

So what are YOU going to do ?...if they start making cuts.
And if these does not affect you personally, it would seem so it would affect a relative, neighbors, and friends.

I think you're right. If anyone was managing their home or their business in this manner, they wouldn't have much home or business to manage for long. It's okay for the government though, I guess.

It's already been stated that two departments not being touched by any pay cuts would be DoD and the VA. The VA has already gone two years in a row without a COLA increase so it couldn't get any worse. Oh wait, the dollar's plummeting in value... it already has.

This is from Fox news, not that CNN would be any better. Have to say, I didn't read the article, now that I have, wtfe.

We're giving 40B a year in subsidies to big oil. Forty freakin' billion. Our congressional leaders almost shut down our government for 38B.

Grain subsidies? Tax cuts for the rich? THE WAR IN IRAQ? AFGHANISTAN? THE WAR ON DRUGS? Where are those numbers in your figures, Fox?

Seems like common sense, right? That’s because it is. But not in our country today. Somehow the DNA of our country is changing. Wealth creation is coming from DC, not from America’s entrepreneurs.

Food stamps and medicare is not "wealth creation," you turds. Maybe if our economy wasn't so crappy we wouldn't be in this position. It's funny how all those tax cuts to those amazing rich folks who were supposed to rescue you haven't quite panned out. Where's my job?

I'm done, so done. They're all evil old men and we're all getting used.
