No. I have a pretty good system going, so I rarely end up with a fridge full of this and that.

Dinner becomes 2 dinners and a lunch, repeat. I think the key to avoiding leftovers fatigue is to have a system and be mindful of how much you cook.

I eat leftovers for lunch at work all week, so we rarely have a problem. If we cooked way more than I want to eat over and over, we'll freeze some the day we cook. If I'm simply tired of eating something, I'll freeze things before they have a chance to go bad.

Quite often, I'll get a hankering for something when I'm home alone, and I'll remember that I have a single serving already available in the freezer. I just did this with BBQ'd beef last week. We had some bread, but I was tired of turkey sandwiches. I was standing around, thinking BBQ'd beef sounded good, but didn't want to cook a whole roast. I remember the freezer, and ended up having a killer lunch.

If there are too many leftovers, I don't cook until they are gone. If it is something that freezes well, than I might freeze it. Or I make something out of it. I really only cook 2 or 3 night a week but I make 2 meals at a time. My kids know if they don't eat it one day, it will be waiting for them the next day. Eating leftovers has has got my grocery budget down.

It's just the two of us, so yeah, we do get tired of leftovers a lot. Typically I try to cook something that feeds just 4-6, so DH and I each eat it for dinner, then I eat it for lunch the next day, and then it's generally gone by the next dinner. I end up cooking about every other day this way.

I purge on grocery day. Nothing new goes in until the old comes out. Dh is a big eater and he takes all the leftovers with him so I rarely have much left in the fridge. If he forgets it I will probably eat it for lunch.

Have no problems with eating leftovers. The most amount of food I will make would be four servings. When I cook I always know I will be freezing portions for later.

Leftovers is totally an unheard of custom in our house. I cook for two, twice a day: lunch for two, dinner for two. We eat it all, every time. There is never ANYTHING left over. I suppose that's because I weigh everything to the gram before I cook it so I know how much to serve, and we're watching our calories, so we're never really "full". But for example if I'm making rice, I make 80g per person, so 160g dry goes into the pot, when it comes out, I weigh it and divide it into two equal halves. I don't think, since the day I got married, that I have ever thrown out a single bite of food.

What I do end up with are half-cans of things. I can never use an entire can of anything. Whether it's tomato sauce, or pineapple cubes, or whatever. I put it into a plastic box, put a label with the date and the name of it, and force myself to use it up by the end of 48 hours from when opened. I've only had to throw away half of one can in a year. And I was cursing like a sailor when I did it.

Just the thought of not having to cook, even just cooking one meal a day instead of two, sounds kind of awesome, I have to admit. But in this country, the main meal is lunch (hot meal), but I'm an American girl, got to have my hot dinner....
