Garden is in!!
Tried something different this year on the garden: mulch paper. It is a heavy brown paper that comes on a roll (got it at Menards). I just rolled it down the garden and secured the edges with rocks. Then I used scissors to cut an X shaped hole in the paper, and dropped in the seeds. We'll see how it goes. Anyone here ever use it?
My garden is small: just 6 by 8. And it's a raised garden. We had really good results with it last year. Last year I mulched with old newspapers.
This year's crops: 7 tomato plants, 3 hills of pole beans, 2 hills of zuchinni, and spinach. That enough for us.Spiritual:
"You are fearfully and wonderfully made." Please... respect life.
Financial:
Debt free, hoping to stay that way!

1. Keep on writing.
2. Get some balance in my life.
3. Lose weight. Hopefully 5# this year. (9.5 pounds right now! Yay, Me!!)
4. Continue to be looking for how God wants to use me this year.

That sounds really interesting. I would like to know how it turns out.

We added a weed barrier cloth to our garden this year, and planted the same way, secured with bricks, cut slits...Like you, we shall see

We have yet to get our garden started thanks to all this rain. We picked up some weed barrier to try this year so hoping it will help. Now if the water would just dry up so we could get to town. lol

I'm envious...the weathers been unstable enough here that we can't do anything garden related yet. I hope to get veggies this year and motivate dad enough to keep him moving.
