No sense at all...3 young ladies dead, 3 little ones without their mother....our judicial system is a frickin' joke
It certainly is. But there are people out there running our judicial system who truely believe that such killers "deserve a second chance" and can be "rehabilitated" Too bad the victims of such cold blooded killers can't also get a second chance at life.

If there is anyway that these families could team up & sue the system for negligence, they should...but nothing will bring back their loved ones now.
You can thank the whiney,pc er's who have infilterated our judicial system's way of thinking...no one has a backbone anymore to stand up & do the right thing.Evil is evil & it should be dealt with accordingly.
But not only is it the judicial system that is failing.....society as a whole is failing........imho.

I'm also shocked and saddened by the "solutions" some people are choosing these days. It shows a desperate lack of problem solving skills, and I also wonder if it's the unfortunate but natural outcome of the "me, me, me" that's been ingrained in our youth. At the same time, it's extremely frustrating to hear people say that a person who does such horrible things "seemed like a nice person". Of course they seemed like a nice person - sociopaths usually do!

Just think, some of those youth with their ingrained sociopath and narsisistic attitudes of "Me, Me, Me" are our country's future. God help us!

How scary! It really shows you that you don't always know people as well as you think you do. Prayers for those girls and their families and friends.

I hope that your son get help, and also the children of the girls that died, my husband lost his beloved mom when he was 17 he walked in as the gun that his stepfather was pointing toward his mother (my husband, Walt's) and puilled the trigger. He suffers to this day, because he never received the help when this happened, and that was june 13, 1990.

In my are 4 years ago a girl 20 yrs old was riding a motorcycle drunk and I think on drugs and on the back of the bike was a 16 year old friend, they were traveling at a high rate of speed when they hit a car, the 16 yr old on the back of the bike died about two weeks later, the driver of the bike was sentenced to 4 or 5 years and this week she tells the judge in court that she wants out of prison and that she is sorry for what she did and you know what the judge did sent her to a new jail (after only spending 25 months in prison) for 6 months, and then she will have probation and 200 hours of communtity because she is really sorry that she killed her 16 yr old friend, and she can no longer handle being in jail.

I'm not a real big fan of rehabilitation for violent criminals. It's one thing to try to help someone who is an addict or who is suffering from a treatable mental illness. There are situations that invoke a killing rage in someone who would never be brought to that edge again. However, there are certain disorders that can never be cured or treated. It is a psychological FACT that a true narcissist cannot be "fixed". Nor can a pedophile or a sociopath.

If there is absolutely no fixing someone, there should at least be a way to protect the rest of the world from those unfortunate enough to come into contact with them. I'm so sorry that your family has been touched by this, MH.

I agree. Rehabilitate drug offenders and reduce our prison costs....but keep violent offenders locked up for good.
