Another lousy week for grocery store sales
I checked the fliers so that I could do groceries this weekend and there was not one single item that was a good enough sale that it could tempt me to go shopping.
Looks like this week will be one for using the stockpile instead of adding to it!

We need milk - other than that we are well stocked. Makes me very thankful for my stockpile!

I will be shopping - one of our stores has bone in chicken breast for .77 lb. That's definitely a stock up price. I just wish I had more room in my freezer right now. I'll be picking up a few other things that I need, but other than the chicken, it's pretty lackluster here too.

I got flour and eggs and a few vegetables, not a lot of eye-catchers here either. A lot of my money went for snacks and pre-packaged things we're taking on vacation later this month. I can't believe how much that stuff costs! But still cheaper than eating out everyday.

The sales were horrible here too. Next week looks better though...a least for a few things.

There were a few deals like chicken breast for .99lb, but not a great week here.
I did have my 1st trip to Rite Aid for Dial soap (3 bars or liquid hand soap) 2/$3 & $1 Up rewards coupon for next purchase. So important to grab those sales items when you find them & stock up as much as you can.

I've been doing a lot of stocking of free or cheap HBA's from Walgreens lately, but as far as food, not as much. I did find a 10 item Mega Event at Kroger Company stores (King Soopers here). They have Kraft barbecue sauce for .49, American Beauty pasta for .49, Ragu pasta sauce for $1.05. That's about it.

Nothing in our "sale" flyers attracted me except for Welch's 100% Pure Grape Juice for $3, but since I couldn't find a coupon, I won't be buying.
Oh, and cage free eggs were on sale $2 a dozen if I remember correctly. I may cherry pick a dozen.

Lately I have only been finding a few things a week, at most, that are actually sales.Did get chicken breasts $1.88 lb,which up here is good,so stocked up on those.
We had a Giant Tiger store open in town yesterday,so we went to the grand opening. We each got a 5 dollar gift card for being earlybirds,so was happy with that.Nice store, good prices, got sockeye salmon 88 cents a tin, frozen pollock fillets $1.98 half price,Cheerios $1.47 box which are all great prices.
I really think we should be going back for more canned salmon,as the price in great, and it keeps forever.
I do find good sales are hard to find lately.

Looked at Winn Dixie, Sweet Bay and Publix. Publix was the only one even close. Haven't went totally thru them but Publix will probably win as I have to travel 20 to 25 minutes to Wal Fart. Also I went last week to Publix and they had BOGO on razors, TP on sale and something else I can't remember now and they were out of all. Got rainchecks good for a month and since we have to say how many I always say more than I need by a couple in case I find coupons. So that was good since they were all things I need. Need to look closer at the sale papers for this week but as of now nothing overly impressive.

Same here. What kind of 'deal' is $3.29/# for ground chuck? I'm looking for 1.99 or less, at least!
I'm trying to stock my freezer for when my sons visit this summer. The prices suck.
