So upset, our house was burgled this morning!
~The kids and I were visiting my mother this morning and I came home to a ransacked house. They got our Wii, my laptop, about $60 cash, our 3 Nintendo DS's, three Pokémon games and our two digital cameras. They even broke the baby's ducky bank.
I am sick about the newer camera. It had the last three months of baby pictures on it. They were backed up on the laptop that was stolen. I can replace everything else but not the pictures.
They didn't find my jewelry thank God but I'd trade my engagement ring in a second for that memory card.
I already filed with my insurance company and it looks like over $1000 to replace everything. ~~Constance

OH NO! That's awful.
I hope they catch whoever did this and you get your things back. Some people are just rotten.

I'm so sorry. I cannot stand a thief. I hope the law can find them but if its anything like here they won't even try. They just let insurance take care of it and let it go. My sis has been hit twice. They stole her babies piggy bank money, bank and all as well as a bunch of other stuff. Our church was hit several times. They did more damage breaking out a window than what bit they got since we don't keep anything there.

that happened to me about 12 years ago it made me sick because my daughter and I were in the house. I was afraid for along time. Thank God you and your babies were not there. stuff can be replaced you and those babies can't. Check Craigs list and see if maybe you can catch your crook. One woman caught the people who stole her wedding dress.

How awful!! Were any other homes around you hit? Talk about feeling violated - am so sorry.

So sorry. At least you weren't in the house. That could have been worse. Glad everyone is safe but sorry about the pictures

I'm SO sorry!
Did your neighbors see anything? I hope they catch the creeps!
Does your mom have pictures on her camera that may help replace some of those you've lost? Again, so sorry . . .

Oh. My. Word.
I'm sorry to hear this news Constance *huge hugs* Glad you and the kids are alright though - THAT is what is most important. Yes baby pics are irreplaceable but you will still have the memories - even they can't steal that from you. Have the police come to check your house? Have you spoken with the neighbours to see if they'd seen anything suspicious? Were they burgled as well?

That is so sad. Is the $1,000 what they will pay you to replace it or is that your delectable that you have to pay?
There is a baby picture you posted her at FV in the Blessed to be a mom post. There is one baby picture.

I'm so sorry about the memory card. That kind of thing breaks my heart more than anything else. I'm really glad you and your babies are okay, though.
One tidbit of advice: after having a computer crash and losing some priceless pictures, I began using an online picture storage site - photobucket. It's free and as long as there is internet you can access the photos.
So very very sorry. (((hugs)))

I am so sorry this happened! It is such a violated feeling. My house was burglarized once, but I didn't have irreplaceable items taken.

I'm sorry Constance, that is just sickening. It's awful when they take personal items that can't be replaced.
My last picture backup was January 09. I've just been copying to both computers, only thinking of harddrive failure, not even considering theft. I'm going to burn a disk tomorrow.
