    Default Starting Down the Road of RAI Treatment...

    Went to the endocrinologist today to get the ball rolling on my cancer treatment...can't wait to be on the other side of this. She was reading my file & informed me that they caught the cancer at stage 3...ACK! Something nobody bothered to tell me. But after all of this is over with, she said that I have as much of a chance of a full life expectancy as anyone else that has never had thyroid cancer & that one treatment will be all I need. Hopefully around November, I'll be given the "all clear"

    Just returned to the forum after a few months away. I didn't need to hear that a long-timer-at-FV is gearing up for RAI treatments!

    But I remember my SIL doing this about 10 years ago. She's a nurse, and she was very upbeat and confident (nurses are usually the worst patients!) because she knew how curable thyroid cancer is. She was back to her old self in no time.... I felt bad because I didn't even get a chance to make them chicken soup or dinner or anything!
