Thanks so much for sharing that! I used to subscribe to the Tightwad Gazette years ago and was sorry to see it end. I even have the original article about she and her family from Parade Magazine. It's great to visit with her after all these years. I wish I was a neighbor of hers!

This was from our local news show. It is nice to hear from her again after such a long time.
I have bumped into her and her family a few times over the years. She came to one of my aunts garage sales about 10 years ago. Funny thing is I think she bought some jewelry there. She did have her daughter with her at the time. Another time was at a book signing. She autographed all three of her books for me. I was there at a slow time and got the chat with her for awhile. She is a very genuine, down to earth person.
One of their children ( I can't believe they are all grown up) is now a police officer and works for our small city. I have yet to bump into her, but that is a good thing.
Thanks for sharing.

I wish they would do an update to what her kids are doing now. I'm glad you mentioned one being a police officer. It's just one of those things you wonder about.

Thanks so much for sharing! I LOVE TCTWG--got it for Christmas a couple of years ago and I love going back to brush up on things I've forgotten. Even though I've read it cover to cover a couple of times, it seems I learn something new each time I open it.

Man, I love her. That woman changed my life. She honestly kept us fed when DD15 was a baby and I had about $10 a week for food.
Thank you so much for sharing this interview!

I've never read this book before so I just went and read the reviews for the book on Amazon. It sounds like there may be some things I've never heard of before. It seems to be geared toward the homemaker and what she can do to save money from the reviews I read. I see there is number 2 and 3 of the book, are these in addition too the first book? or a reprint with added text?
