Back from the ER with DD
I am back from the ER with DD 8 there is some sort of new stomach flu going around that is drawn out a real long time. It starts with fever and stomach pain, vomiting will start a day or two later, and continue for a few days. The fever will break then diarrhea will start with excruciating stomach pain which will cause the kids to double over in pain. This is what lead us to the hospital tonight. The Dr said that the diarrhea will continue for another few days, stomach pain should stop in a few days and then diarrhea will continue for another few days. The Dr. we saw in the ER said alone he has seen 5 or 6 kids with it, and so have all the other Dr.s on have seen loads of it in this week alone.

Hope your kiddo feels better soon!
We had something similar go through our house...it hit DH the hardest. Poor guy had 3 different things going on...the stomach thing like at your house, another bug of some sort (this is generally why I go with him!) and pneumonia! He was definitely not a very healthy guy for about 2 months. It sucked. He's still battling some of the effects of the pneumonia but not anything like he has been.
My two older kids got it as well but it didn't linger as long as it did with DH since they didn't have the pneumonia and the other bug along with it. Little guy and I luckily avoided it....I chalk this up to basically quarantining everyone for a week.
Now we have some other stupid respiratory thing going through the house. If my older son and I didn't have it I would just chalk it up to allergies....the weather just needs to get nice and stay nice so I can open up the house! Had enough already!!!
Sorry for the hijack there! Again, hope your kiddo feels better soon and that the rest of the family avoids contracting it!
