Scary and sad. Sure hope it can be contained.
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Heard about it. A friend of DS's who is a firefighter is leaving tomorrow morning to help with the fire. I hope they can get it under control soon. I love that area!

I've been following this online and the news and it absolutely breaks my heart. We've had rain here pretty much non stop for the last two weeks pray it sent that way. With the fires in Alberta, the flooding in Manitoba it's pretty scary and close to home. I really hope they get it all under control very soon. It does warm my heart some to see so many people reaching out, donating, offering up there homes to the families who lost there's or have been evacuated. Offering up places for there pets, small and large. Praying for everyone affected.

We've also had lots of wildfires here in Texas this year. I hope they get the one in your town contained soon.

Here is some more news on the fire in Slave Lake! I can't believe that the town I was born and lived in for years is pretty much gone. I feel so bad for all those who live there. I am thankful that no one has died. It's hard living all the way in Ontario and watching it on the news, but I know it is even harder for those that lost everything. My dad who still lives in Alberta keeps calling and giving me updates as well. He doesn't live in Slave Lake luckily though.

Oh my Gosh! What are those people going to do? I'm glad no one (so far) has been found to be hurt.
