Default I'm going to have to turn on the AC :(

So far we have made it through a week of 90+ without turning on the AC, but the humidity started rolling in yesterday and it is miserable. I try hard to not turn on the AC before mid-June, but it is already 89 degrees at 9:30 this morning and my kids are all piled on the family room floor in front of the box fan. We are supposed to hit 98 today .

I'm going to miss having the windows open and listening to the birds.

I TOTALLY understand! I am in Houston Texas and it is already very hot and humid AND we are in a drought. I kept the A/C off as long as possible. It's been on about a month now 77 at night and 80 during the day.

We turned ours on last Thursday night. I just couldn't sleep and it was 11pm and still 80 degrees. Hopefully this hot 90's is going to break this weekend. I can turn the a/c off again.

I take it back. Went to turn on the AC and the blower fan is on the fritz again. Dh will work on it when he gets home tonight. Turned off the electronics, filled the water table for the kids, made lemonade and have the ceiling/box fans. We should be okay.

I also turned on my a/c today. I have COPD and have put up with the heat and humidity for as long as I can stand it. My DH doesn't like me to turn it on this early, but I am sorry, I just can't handle it.

yup. we gave in a couple of days ago. Our new roomie/good friend has moved in with us for a while and her room is really hot so we had to.

But I did get us a programable thermostat and will install it asap. That should help...and try to remember that we had a really great spring and the last 3 months of energy bills have been under $70 each.

Yeah, we went from rather chilly to freaking hot in 1.2 days! Friday it is supposed to be 93 here...that is rather hot for us. I don't want to put the air conditioners in yet! I literally JUST turned the heat off!!!

And of course, as has been the way things are going this year, we get nice weather and there is nasty storms brought with it. Under a severe thunderstorm watch for the day.

Can't we just have NICE weather??!!

I was turning the ac on for about an hour or two to help with my allergies. Now I have been leaving it on since it has been in the 90's. It is supposed to cool down later in the week which would be great since it seems as if spring was hardly here.

We're still lucky, but it's getting hotter here. It wouldn't be too much of an issue, but I'm working nights for the next month, so sleeping through the day is getting more difficult.

Mine has been turned on for a couple of months. We seem to have skipped spring entirely - straight from winter to summer.
The high for tomorrow is supposed to be 100 degrees!
This is not normal for early June.

Mine has been off and on since March. Yes, I know, crazy. I am seeing if we can raise the temp and still be cool. Right now it is at 79 during the day 77 to sleep.

I feel your pain. We got up to 92F (outside) yesterday. It was 83F downstairs (inside) at 9pm last night. The upstairs was unbearable. We don't usually put the window units in until the end of June, but if it keeps up like this we will have to put them in at least in the upstairs bedrooms.
