Smile Barbies - my barbies vs my daughter's barbies

I was organizing my daughter's barbies and thinking about my barbie collection.

I had a few blond Barbies and a Ken or two and a skipper.

My daughter's collection is more generational and more diverse

    She has

    1)A grandma and grandpa barbie
2)Adult many different kinds of "grown up barbies" not just the blond variety ( she has the pregnant one too) A few different Kens or Alan I believe
    3)the teenage barbie ( skipper)
    4)a child one pre-teen? ( Stacey)
5)a younger child one ( Chesea?)
6)a few pre school age ones (todd and Kellys and a red head one)
7)a few toddler ones ( very diverse don't know all there names)
    8)and babies

She plays family a lot more than I did. Mattel has definitely expanded the collection. It is so much fun playing barbies with her collection.

Notice also that Barbie is a little more proportionally correct now. This happened somewhere in the 90's and I noticed it after trying to put some vintage Barbie clothes on my daughter's Barbies. I immediatly went online and looked it up.

    Happy Family Grandpa

They were part of the Happy Family Series

Remember the pregnant "barbie" actually midge these are her parents.

    edited to add
    Yes you found them

The happy family series had toddler pre school and baby barbies. all the adults in the series had arms that bent so they could hold the children and babies. One outfit set with the series had a baby sling for carrying the babies too.

    we have that one too.

Loved some of the things that came in that series.

Like the playground set with toddler swing, the shopping cart that the little ones could sit in, and the baby slig so anyone could carry the baby.
