    Default The Bread Store

I have been hitting the bread store, oh maybe every three weeks. I find great deals on Mondays. One week I got 32 hamburger buns for 1.49 I took those home and bagged them and froze them in pk of 8.

This week however I got bagels in the bag. 4 for 5.00 that makes them a 1.25. sometimes I get them on the markdown table for 50 cents. Lately not so much. So anyway 1.25 is pretty good. Got some snacks too.

I wanted to share with you my invention with my bagels.

I took a bagel (they are already split)
hollowed it out with a spoon, I actually took the guts and pressed them back into the body of the bagel and filled the hole too. Looked like a little bowl when I finished.

A bowl, oh my, did my mind go wild.. well we have put a spinach cheese mixture in it, pizza stuff in it, did a breafast stuff in it.. and covered with cheese. then in the oven till cheese melt and bottom is brown.

They were really delicious, like little deep dish pizzas..
after a bit of thought you could brush these little babies with water and nuke for bit and make solid little dip bowls out of them.

    hmmm...just saying..

wow. Our bread store is .59 for almost everything-bagels,whole grain breads, and hawaiian rolls. If you buy $6. worth you get a couple things for .39.
I do pizza bagels and also make pitas in pizza.
    Gotta love the bread store.

I mis going to the bread store!! There isn't one close by for me anymore (30 min away on the other side of town) and I can't really justify just going that far to go.

    I hope you enjoy!

Good ideas. Now I wish I had bought some at the bakery yesterday. We don't have one locally so I went to the one in the next town since I was already over there. I got some good buys too. Love it!

Love the bread store! I save so much money by going there. And they have some really great deals on top of their every day low prices. I go about every two weeks because it isn't real close to my house. There are 3 other stops I make when I go so it makes the trip worthwhile.

I love my bread store however we are not big bread eaters. I recently picked up bagels for $1 each for Name Brand froze them we just grab as we need.. No wasting this way.. We usually get whatever the sale items are that week etc..

4 bagels for $5 is a good deal? I hope you're talking about bags of bagels and not single ones. I can get a bag of 5 fresh-frozen bagels for $1.20.

My bread store isn't that good. They don't mark the bread down that much, and the only thing cheap is the preservative filled sugar laden junk pastry.

We have a Bakery Thrift Store. We get 10 "loaves" of whatever they're getting rid of for $10.00. Usually there are 6 bagels to a "loaf". But honestly, now I know how to bake bagels I make my own. I always do a double batch so I can freeze some. Much nicer homemade.
