One lesson your dad taught you???
Most dads teach us a lot, either by word, or by good example, or sometimes, even by bad example.
In honor of Father's Day tomorrow, can you share one lesson your dad taught you?Spiritual:
"You are fearfully and wonderfully made." Please... respect life.
Financial:
Debt free, hoping to stay that way!
MY BLOG: glorybug.wordpress.com
1. Keep on writing.
2. Get some balance in my life.
3. Lose weight. Hopefully 5# this year. (9.5 pounds right now! Yay, Me!!)
4. Continue to be looking for how God wants to use me this year.

Never be afraid to admit you don't know something. People will respect you more than if you lie about your abilities.

That if you plan for success, you can be completely unprepared for failure. If you plan for failure, success is a pleasant surprise!

"Keep grinnin'."
No matter what happens, Dad told me to meet it with a smile. He taught me you can't feel nearly as bad with a smile on your face.

Dad is a computer geek, whose sole passion/hobby is geneology (no, not just our family - the families in the surrounding towns, too!). He lost his faith somewhere along the way being a military officer, and travelling all over Europe. Now remarried, as well as a renewed faith has definitely influenced me.
Dad's taught me that hobbies, as well as family, really are most important. His insistence we went to church instilled a love for the Lord. My mother and Dad's relationship was a sham; now I see him in a mutually loving, caring, uplifting one, which greatly impacted my decision to marry.Vermont has two seasons: Wintah and the Fourth of July.

Wow, my dad taught me SO MUCH. . . hard to chose just one. . .
he taught me how to be graceful in the face of adversity (he lost his right arm at age 13, had a brain stem stroke at age 58, developed syringomyelia at age 62, went to a nursing home at age 76, died of AML at age 78 - all with a smile, and a "such is life" attitude - never "woe is me")
