Mine's cause I learned to can fairly recently (last two years, only six or so times) and I'm working towards self-sufficiency. My DH and I fiercely belive it's necessary to prepare, for a known 'disaster' or the unexpected. We also believe God's grace will take care of those who take care of themselves, but, if we are not here for some reason, I'm sure whomever stumbles upon our bounty will truly be blessed.

Mine is me and our oldest daughter Chloe, now 15 months. We were sitting in the ultrasound office waiting to find out if our now 4 week old daughter Emma was going to be a boy or girl.

I changed my avitar picture to my two grandsons, Evan is 4 1/2 months old and Kain is 3. I love them to pieces.

Mine is of Thomas my 3YO cat. When we first moved he was super clingy (I think because he moved 2 months after I did) and wouldn't let me out of his sight. I had to get work done and kept getting him off the desk. I had the filing cabinet drawer open one day and he saw his chance. That was his favorite spot for months. Now he is happy on the couch, which is about 15 feet from my desk, but that is about as far as he will go.

If I leave the room he follows shortly and if I leave the apartment he waits paitently by the door. Actually if I leave the apartment, he first tries to open the door and then gives up and waits patiently.

Sometimes, we just need a little reminder to not put off what's important.... and my mission is to make sure that everyone I know spays & neuters their pets, their neighbor's pets, their neighbors neighbor's pets, even the mailman's pets!

This is my precious fur ball and the only other female in the house. We ended up with her when my oldest was looking for an orange boy cat on Craigslist and someone answered. He let us take 2 of the kittens. They are the best cats ever and loved so stinkin' hard.
